Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is an efficient and rapid therapy for common skin imperfections such as: age spots, discoloration, birth marks, vascular lesions, acne, etc. IPL works via a flash gun that is applied onto the skin and heats specific structures that are heated to destruction and then reabsorbed by the body. Depending on the condition (uneven skin pigmentation, sun damage, thread veins or acne), or if the aim is “just” dermal rejuvenation the spectrum of light will be adjusted in order to obtain the desired results with no damage to the surrounding areas.
An anaesthetic cream is applied and retired 30 minutes before the treatment. Once the skin is numb the flash gun is worked through to the treated area. The treatment lasts between 10 and 25 minutes. The skin might remain reddened for 2 hours to 2 days after the treatment, and the spots will get darker and peel off in the next 5 to 7 days. After one week the spots are gone and the skin appears much more uniform and luminous. Book your first consultation now
